After a long career in Traditional and Competition karate I took a look at what was my passion, my hobby and thought about how I could turn it into a living. After moving from Coventry, England to Indianapolis, USA, I saw an enormous gap in what looked like a very closed market. Whilst most Martial Arts instructors were focusing on either recruiting and building their children's programmes or turning their attention to self defence seminars, I discovered a market totally overlooked by most martial arts instructors.

Right now, in almost every home in any developed country, people are discussing their weight and their health, or more importantly how to lose weight and gain better health. Being experienced in conducting training sessions for large groups, I looked towards the weight loss industry as a viable and potentially lucrative career change.
